To promote some competition in the club, we’ve set up a Singles Ladder, and hold various Club Championship competitions.

We also take part in the Lothian and Borders League, where teams from across the Lothians and Borders test themselves against the other teams in our region.

Lothian and Borders Petanque League 2026

Rules by Peter Harrington A team will consist of a minimum of 4 players and a maximum of 8. A player cannot play for more than one club in the season.

NPC Club Triples Championship 2025

How it works: The Club Triples Championship competition is only open to members of Newtongrange Petanque Club. It will be played on Saturday 19th of April 2025.
