A Lovely Day at Moffat

Several teams from NPC went down to Moffat to compete in their Open competition at the weekend. The weather was not as forecast - lots of sunshine, and no rain - which is what we’d all prepared for! The Triples were played on Saturday. Congratulations to Kaye S, who was playing with John and Bob from Penicuik PC, and won the final of the Main Consolage, and also to Alan G, Lyn R and Tommy R on reaching the semi-final of the Main Consolage. A great day was had by all. Sunday saw Steve H and Alex H compete in the Doubles. They won 2 and lost 1 game, and made it into the top 16 for the knockout stage. Unfortunately, they lost their next 2 games and went out of the competition. If it was any consolation, they lost both days to the eventual winners of the competitions! Good effort guys.
