Congratulations to Steve Halley, who won the Club Singles Championship competition. Second place went to Jake Herriot, with Kaye Skey third.

The details for the up-coming Singles Championship competition were thrashed out last night. There were 22 entrants who put their names forward to take part in the competition.

The numbers were down due to our Home Nations teams being away at a competition in Dunbar, prior to their trip down south next weekend!

The Club Doubles Championship has kicked-off today. The fixture list has been announced, and we now get down to the nitty-gritty stuff, quite literally!

The presentation of the Club Triples Championship was made tonight, after the very last fixture had taken place (Newbies 10 - 8 ABB).

The Gala finals were well attended, with our 8 teams of competitors facing-off in the (delayed from Sunday) quarter-finals, with Lindsay, Kelly, Clare and Ross making it through to the semi-finals.

Just a quick reminder to all NPC members, that Scottish Petanque coach Malcolm McKenzie will be visiting us this Saturday, 3rd June from 1pm until about 3pm, for some top class coaching - don’t miss it!

Well… it’s nearly the weekend of our Gala competition. The registration window has closed, and we’ve had 20 members of the public sign up to take part in the competition.

Congratulations to the Ladies and Gentlemen of NPC who took part in the SPA Women’s and Men’s Singles Competitions held at Inverleith Petanque Club at the weekend.

Today saw the SPA ‘Introduction to Competition’ course held at Newtongrange Petanque piste. A good turn out saw about 30 members of NPC take part in the training, aimed at members who haven’t played in National-level competitions before, so that they can become familiar with what is expected, and can ask questions, etc.
