Reflections On Our 1st NPC Open Weekend

I think it was Craig Harris from ELPC that summed up the weekend best, when he referred to it as a Festival of Boules.

The unified contribution of a large number of NPC members all pulling for the same result just shows the potential synergy within this great Club. The efforts of members involved in delivering the invisible background tasks to those involved in the apparently significant parts of the operation were impressive to say the least. Equally impressive was the way in which our organisation responded and adapted on day 2 to the constructive criticisms from day 1. We tried, we learned and we succeeded!

Performances on day 2 were also very impressive, with NPC members involved in all 3 finals - Steve H & Alex H in the main competition, Jake H in the plate final, and Jane M & “Lucky Joe” M in the consollage! This is what success looks like - NPC has truly ARRIVED on the national stage!
